Welcome to “Kickflip Academy,” a nonprofit skateboard academy dedicated to making skateboarding accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age or skill level. I believe that skateboarding is a way to build confidence, develop resilience and foster community. Whether you're looking to learn to skateboard in Salisbury as a complete beginner or an experienced skater aiming to elevate your skateboard skills further afield, I'm here to support your journey with personalised coaching.

My mission is to inspire and empower skaters of all ages and abilities utilising my 30 years of experience on a skateboard to offer personalised coaching through 1-1 lessons, group lessons in schools, and local community group classes in Salisbury that emphasise both technical skills and the joy of riding. From your first push on the board to mastering advanced tricks, I’m here to guide you every step of the way with engaging and fun skateboard lessons.

Qualified Professional Coaching Based In Salisbury/Wiltshire

At our skateboard academy, we offer a unique opportunity to learn to skateboard in Salisbury through tailored skateboard coaching. Our coaching is designed to help riders build confidence and improve essential skills such as balance and coordination. With our personalised coaching approach, both beginners and those seeking to enhance their skateboard lessons can thrive in a supportive environment. Structured coaching provides skaters with step-by-step guidance that accelerates their learning, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience. This coaching not only fosters creativity, resilience, and focus but also promotes physical fitness, helping skaters become part of a positive and inclusive community.

During our sessions, we emphasise the core fundamentals of skateboarding, including board control, balance, stance, pushing, turning, stopping safely, and learning how to fall correctly to minimise injury risk.

As riders progress, we introduce vital skateboarding skills like carving, kick turns, ramps, pumping, Ollie's, and basic tricks that are customised to each individual’s ability level. Every session is thoughtfully designed to gradually build confidence while creating a fun, motivating, and supportive learning experience.

Additionally, our facility features a private mini ramp with 2ft and 3ft high transitions, available during 1-1 sessions upon request, along with grind rails, boxes, and launch ramps to enhance the coaching experience, ensuring our skateboard coaches provides the best possible training.

This program is ideal for beginners, returning riders, or anyone eager to take their skating to the next level. Let’s roll! 🛹✨ - From £25pp 1hr session. Equipment can be provided. This is for 1-4 students for a private skateboard session.

Group Lessons | Beginner & Intermediate

Elevate your skating experience by joining a group session at our skateboard academy, Our lessons offer a unique blend of personalised coaching and a fun, and social atmosphere. Ideal for friends, families, or anyone who enjoys learning alongside others. During the sessions our skateboard coach focuses on essential skateboard skills, safe progression, and skill-building drills, ensuring ample time for practice and encouragement from the entire crew. All skill levels are welcome. Come skate, connect, and grow together! 🛹🤝✨ - Starting from £15pp for a 1hr session. Equipment can be provided. Group lessons range from 5-12 students during our session.

School Clubs | Beginners

Keep the stoke going after the bell rings! Our nonprofit skateboard academy in Wiltshire offers an in school or After-School Skateboard Club that provides kids with a fun, active, and confidence-boosting way to end their day. Riders of all levels can benefit from personalised coaching as they learn to skateboard through engaging and exciting lessons designed to teach essential skills, safety, balance, and new tricks with our supportive group sessions. It’s a fantastic space to make friends, stay active, and build resilience—all while having a blast on a board. Helmets on, spirits high… let’s skate! 🛹✨ - From £12 for up to 12 students per 1hr session, minimum 6 students, perfect for schools looking to add some extra fun in between or after lessons!
